Top 2018 Reads

In No Particular order

Hey guys! I often get asked for book recommendations and thought this would be the perfect place to share my favourite books from this year! I'm sure there will be more to add in the next coming months so make sure you keep an eye on this page.

Hashtag Series - Cambria Hebert

This series is one of the most memorable that I have ever read! Teen angst gone wild, the Hashtag Series is the perfect hot guy falls for the nerdy girl type of story! The first three books are based around Rome and Rimmel. Once you pick up #Nerd you will not be able to put it down the series is seriously addictive. You will hate saying goodbye to them.

Luckily you'll be able to see them again in Braedan and Blondie's books! Which are also amazing. This series has everything you could want! Romance, steamy moments, thriller/psychological aspects and lots of funny times! Since this is set at a university there is also a lot of sorority drama going on. Basically its every teen drama tv show on steroids except it MUCH better!

Sinner - Sierra simone

Sierra Simone has a beautiful way with words and even though I haven't loved every book she has written I will say that she wrote one of my favourite books EVER. Porn Star, I know it might not sound like something that would be so memorable but seriously its freaking amazing. So so beautiful and it touched my heart! It was so different and refreshing but we're talking about Sinner right now!

I always love when an author adds diversity into their books, especially as a main character and not a BFF or side character. As a black reader I'm always feeling left out when I hardly ever see anyone other than white people in books, its just not right. So I'm super ecstatic when I see authors making an effort. I wont go on too much about how much I adore this book, I'll link my review before. Just know this story is insanely awesome!

salt: A heights novel - mara white

No words can even describe how intense my feelings for this book are. Salt has earned its place on my favourite of all time list not just my 2018 list! I was so scared to read it, a friend of mine adored it and hearing the way all the emotions took over her I was scared to feel it myself. Not sure if anyone else gets like this but I'm so 'afraid'... (I think you could say that is the word), to feel close connections with a story. It hurts so bad when its over and with those types of books I always ugly cry and I HATE when I ugly cry,,, but that's how you know I REALLY love a book. When there is snot dripping from my nose. I know TMI! I got to be real with you guys. You can read why and what I love about Salana and Tiago in my review! Their story owns a special piece of my heart.

Envy - dylan allen

It takes a story I love to make me really enjoy a friends to lovers romance. It's one of the tropes I don't really read from. But somehow Dylan's ability to write a touching, romantic and soulful journey about two loveable characters, that you will instantly fall for is part of her endless talent. With Envy I got to experience true love with all its ups and downs and how that love can be the cause of a lot of pain but also how that same love makes you feel like you're walking on sunshine. Also how hot is that cover?!?!? That is enough incentive to make you dive in to this wonderful read!

Long shot: a hoops novel - kennedy ryan

This book was a tough read, purely because of the struggles the heroine had to go through. It was just heart breaking. Long Shot... Scratch that. Kennedy Ryan makes you work for that HEA in every book she writes, like you gotta walk 10K in the desert with no water kind of work. But it is so worth it in the end. There were times I didn't think I could make it. Kennedy has such a way with words its can only be described as awing. Her books are just pure poetry. Long Shot is so much more than just forbidden love, it was about survival! I'm so excited for the next book that's coming at the end of this summer, even though I know that 10K is going to ruin me again. LOL
